About Us

Cwm Tawel is a small Mongolian Yurt glamping site situated in a picturesque South Wales valley. It was set up by local people in 2010 as a community group and still today has not been overdeveloped to keep it a cosy and friendly place. It is run by local people and has local volunteers all with a vast amount of knowledge and expertise. At Cwm Tawel we aim to provide a holiday experience with a difference in Wales come rain or shine. We are committed to encouraging people to enjoy their local environment, taste local food and drink local Ale!. We have wonderful hikes that you can enjoy from the site and are just twenty minutes from excellent forest mountain biking trails and outstanding beaches where you can try your hand at surfing. We welcome visitors to come, stay and play, explore our countryside and relax and enjoy the sense of stillness and peace that we have created. An alternative holiday experience in Wales, come rain or shine by ‘Glamping’ in authentic Mongolian Yurts. A modern ‘turn up with your toothbrush’ form of camping. Our site is deliberately aimed at people who don’t want to have to pack ‘the kitchen sink’ or even a tent! Cwm Tawel is based in a small valley meadow near to Cwmcedfyw Farm, Lletty Brongu, Llangynwyd, Bridgend. CF34 0EB
